Bluetooth PAN Tethering

I've seen youtube videos of people tethering their droid x via bluetooh PAN to their macbooks. I've tried following the tutorials to do the same. The only difference is I'm using an OG droid running CM7 RC4 w/ chevyno1 ulow 1.2ghz kernel. I can my get phone paired with my mac but the only 'services' that are acknowledged once paired is file sharing. I have enabled internet sharing in settings to no avial.

I have used barnacle wifi but ad-hoc isn't supported by mac.

I'm starting to think that the good ole OG Droid just doesn't have the hardware to do this.

Any ideas on how to get bluetooth method to work??
