Bluetooth compatibility

Has anyone heard any rumors of HTC or Android updated their bluetooth compatibility? I do not have the Eris and it is tops on my list but I just found out that as of today they do not support my 2008 Nissan Sentra Bluetooth carkit.

I find this crazy since my current phone the LG EnV2 has no problem with this. It just doesnt make sense that a company would not make sure its bluetooth is compatible with all major automakers before releasing a phone.

I am hoping that the OTA update coming on the 11th adds additional support.

So, nobody is having issues using their Eris with a car manufacturer's factory installed bluetooth carkit?

VZW posts a chart on their site for bluetooth compatibility with all types of manufacturers listed. For the Eris it lists it as N/T next to Nissan. The Droid lists it as Pending which means it is pending testing.

I also contact HTC and have gotten mixed responses. Two reps said it is not compatible at this time and one rep said it is but was doing some more research.

Not sure why it wouldn't be compatible but I have seen stranger things.
