Blue Screen of Death

Have not had this for many years and not with my D1. I can hook up to charge and hook up using PDANET with no problems but as soon as I mount the phone and cllick on 'start - explore' it happens. I've tried booting with phone attached and not, with debug mode on and off. Any suggestions?

Are you saying your getting a BSOD on your phone or on your computer?

Do you have the HTC Sync drivers installed?

BSOD on the computer. Other than the PC displayed a few messages that it found new hardware I did not install anything. I'll try and install HTC sync but hopefully I can configure just to transfer files - don't want it to sync with anything.

Yeah after you install it you can go to add/remove in control panel and uninstall everything other then the actual drivers.
