Any info one what this fixes? I'm guessing 5.5.893 didn't have the results Verizon was looking for. No info doing a Google search. Verizon trying to fix the data drop problem? Back to back system updates... kinda strange!

choose install later then make a copy of it from your cache, an post it for the devs to take a look at.....would be extrememyl helpful!!!

Any word on if this also fixes the SD card issue when it comes to storing apps?

Got it... but it's a little confusing. I thought I was going crazy but the photo showed what I saw. Inside the zip file is a file called "metadata.gpb".

Looking inside this file I saw 3 lines...
(Blur_Version.5.9.901.XT875.Verizon.en.US(Blur_Version.5.5.893.XT875.Verizon.en.US *
some notes2
some flavour8€@€J...

I'm afraid to let the updater proceed so I froze it.

**UPDATE**
  1. My 3 day DropBox suspension is over and the links should be good again.
  2. I finally completed the update. See post #72 of this thread for results.
  3. Merry Christmas! <== too much spare time, 2am Christmas morning :)

What would you need the .crc file for? Isn't the .zip enough to flash in stock recovery? Just asking, because I've not seen that before.

Sweet! Anyone with root brave enough to try it yet and see if it breaks root or not? Not I, I'll wait and see how it pans out. lol

Don't know. It was in the cache with the same date/time stamp so I included it for completeness. I would think the updater program would run some kind of checksum on what was downloaded to insure no bits were dropped.

I'm still on 5.5.893.xt875 my buddy got the update tday (he got the phone last week) I check and keeps telling me i'm up to date
