Bionic and RAZR News Update!

I appreciate all you do and have done. My issue is there appears to be two dynamics at work. A bug fix and a retention element. Maybe they can pull of both.

Thank you :) And unfortunately you are right. But, I am confident that those of us that are experiencing issues will be resolved shortly. And I am glad you are not experiencing any of them!

Personal opinion, I have never seen an industry so widely accepted (worshipped even) which has been so mediocre for so long. Cell Phones and the "Can you hear me now" level of performance for what one pays (some of us Thousands of dollars every year) take a 10 year period, $200 per/month bill plus a couple of "upgrades" $25,500.00 spent for air, dropped calls, finicky hardware and software discussions like this one alluding to "surprises" like some mystery bunny is going to show up and sprinkle fairy dust on my phone IF I'm one of the lucky chosen... and people wonder why or how people drink cool aid and walk off a cliff.
News Flash: Cell phones are PHONES NOT a source of identity. The "Service" is paid for, a level of service is expected for that payment. It isn't a Favor to have information, or problems fixed or updates SO please don't expect a Thank You for a baseline of proper business conduct. I don't treat my clients like that and for good reason. They PAY me for a service.
This Opinion is not directed at the OP nor anyone in particular BUT I have run into enough cell phone folks over the years that act like the weatherman does sometimes like He makes the sun shine on the weekends and wants everybody to gesticulate over the effort.
So, the thing in my pocket (my cell phone) has not been named by me, it rings and I answer it. Sometimes I even want to talk to whoever is calling. The bill comes and I pay it. That's about it. For that, I expect it to work when I need it to and possibly even get better reception than my bag phone did 25 years ago But for the most part despite all the claims of improvement I find myself still saying, "Can you hear me now" quite a bit.

Well Said! And I like your weatherman analogy :) But at the very least, and I'm defending big red or moto to a point, but by having these focus groups at least demonstrates they are working on these issues.

Good news for Bionic and Razr owners. Still sucks though because there's no way thus fell through the cracks while testing, they just decided to release anyway. I wonder what they thought about some of the threads, now that would be interesting to know lol.

I'm with you, Verizon is My Carrier and Motorola My Phone maker. Call me old fashioned BUT with being "My Companies" comes responsibility. Same when I played Football OR was in the Army OR now that I own and run a company - I want to be the best at what is being done that is possible. I want that for the companies that I patronize as well.
The focus group approach certainly has value. I find the civilian world dabbles in Group Think to excess at times often times remaining in a status of "mental *manipulation" rather than actually executing on the ideas but in this case hopefully (sounds like it will) it will translate into strides forward.
I enjoy the virtual "neighbor fence" that internet forums provide. In the old days these discussions happened at the end of the driveway or at the mailbox, now it is faster and more far reaching for sure.

I am glad I've had this phone early even with some issues. I've had it for over a month now that I would not have had if they had decided to wait until it was "perfect". As stated correctly by the Captain - Verizon is my carrier and Motorola is my phone manufacturer.

How bad I would love for them to say "hey you now have the option of an unlocked bootloader which voids your 1 yr warranty but you do have it" also with a little ICS love. But whatever this new news is would be great.

If this is a firmware update I will be happy for Bionic and RAZR owners. If its ICS, it will only serve my fears that the D3 has been put to the side and forgotten.

I don't think the D3 will be forgotten.
