Big Motorola Press Event in Chicago Happens Today

We are having difficulty in nailing down the actual time, but we know that Motorola's big press event will happen today in Chicago. We fully expect to see the Moto 360 smartwatch, the Moto X+1 and the next generation Moto G revealed, but we could be surprised with more.

Several other manufacturers announced products in the wee hours of the morning, so we will share some of those announcements while we wait for Motorola's event. If we can finally find the actual time for this event, we will update you here.

Turns out that the public announcement isn't until TOMORROW at 1:30CST. Sucks.

From what I've read the announcement IS today at 1:30CT. But the press has to wait until tomorrow to say anything. So first thing tomorrow.

I feel like it's all been marketing genius. This seems to be much more highly anticipated than the recent Samsung and Sony events...and that might be partly due not only to keeping a tighter lid on leaks but a wide range of disparity (intentional subterfuge?) between the few leaks there have been.

What remains to be seen is rewarding the excitement with devices worthy of getting excited for.
