I'm using this MIUI camera now and I love it. great choice, thanks for the link. I really like the touch screen to take picture setting, since the bionic has no camera button. Video camera works fine as well, but there is no short cut for it- you select it inside the app, just like the OD ( not a big deal for me).

This MIUI camera works well. I'm not sure the quality is better, but it is certainly faster to focus lock.

This app works way better/faster, the only issue I have besides FFC is I rely on double-tap home button to launch my camera since there is no hard key. I can't select just any app in blur to do this, so I can't select this app to launch by double tapping the home button. Anyone have a work-around?

Edit: Also, Doesn't seem like you can edit save location, for instance, to the external SD card. :(

Oops, that one is a deal breaker for me. Just checked and all pics with the miui camera are on internal memory with no camera option to change storage location.

I'm still following the two threads on xda and they are working on fixing these issues. Stay tuned!
