i use weatherbug elite. have tried many others and always came back to it.
not sure about the data, i have unlmtd so dont care. but i do have it set to update only once an hour unless i open the app.
edit,
in the last 9hrs it:
sent 82.27kb
received 408kb
but i did make a 6hr round trip to NJ today so i dont know if thats typical.
Yahoo Weather is the best-looking app. If you want a *very* simple black-and-white super-basic weather app that offers great short-term (within the next hour) very localized and ACCURATE forecasts, get Arcus. It's ugly simple, but when you launch it and it checks your location, when it says "rain beginning in 9 minutes", that means ... it WILL rain ... in exactly NINE minutes. I trust this thing well enough to decide to drag an umbrella into the grocery store. But it's worthless for anything else, and the long-range forecasts it offers are laughable, totally off every time.
