best way to root Droid Razr Maxx HD without bricking??

I tried to root my last phone and it never worked so I gave up but I figured there's got to be an easy way to root this phone with it being so popular! Does anyone know the safest/easiest way to root? Preferably a way that's easy to follow. thanks!

Just to add, you were probably using motofail which rooted 4.1.1 but will not work on 4.1.2. FoxKat provided the proper links.
