Best GPS app? Pedometer?

I love Google Maps, and their GPS is very good...but I'm wondering if there is any other app that is better? One where I can easily store favorite addresses, configure colors and voices, etc.

Also looking for a good pedometer app--and by good I mean one that accurately counts steps, or at least measures distance by gps...

I use My Tracks. Not sure if it counts steps but it tracks exact distance and route.

Google is hard to beat, but Sygic is my next fav, especially on my wifi only tab
