Best expense manager?

I'm just looking for something simple where I can put my current bank account balance and as I put things in it keeps track of my balance.

Anyone know of one? There seems to be a number of them but if anyone uses one and can recommend it that would be great.

I use EasyMoney, it’s the best one I have found. You can have checking, savings & credit cards, it is customizable and you can back up everything (paid only) the basic version is free and they have a paid version, I use the paid version. Try the free version and if you like it upgrade!
I hope this helps you!

I use Mint myself, especially since it can communicate with your bank and grab your balance directly from them. This does require that it knows who your bank is (and it doesn't know mine unfortunately).

Because it has my credit card and student loans and I'm working on reducing those balances. Besides, even if I can't use it to its full abilities, I still see what it is like to use. Plus, they do have a rather large database of banks (thanks to being owned by Intuit), so its unlikely someone else will have the same problem I do. And once my bank gets added, it'll be nice to have.

You misunderstand me. You said you use the app "especially" because of the fact that it can connect to banks directly. But this isn't something you use, so why would you use it "especially" for that reason?

Just sayin.

I use Toshl. It doesn't really keep a +/- balance for you (it only tracks expenses, but tracking income is coming in the next release) but its a great way for me to analyze my spending. You can tag your expenses like gmail labels to organize them, and there's a web interface so its not limited to your phone.

I don't like Mint because I refuse to give them (or any app) my online bank credentials.

Try My Mileage by Michanima. It will automatically track mileage when you charge your phone in the car. It will also scan receipts. Information is saved to SD card and can be emailed off the device. Everything you need for expense tracking. see michanima.com or search com.leptron.mymileage in the Android Market
