Beautiful Widgets is apparently no more

I ended up buying this last night before any of this news came out and loved it the second I installed it. Sadly though, I am still within the 24 hour refund period and am thinking about doing it. If they stay on top of it with updates, even after all of this, I would be glad to keep it, but if not, I'm not so sure.

Anyone have any idea if Devs in these situations will bother with it?

FYI, I just went to the market to see if I could still download it. Looks like it's gone........

It is also no longer in "My Downloads" on my Droid :-(

you can still d/l it from the internet i think somepeopel backed it up and uploaded to various sites.

I'm pretty sure the htc one will be better or the same I would buy it since they made the design themselves in the first place. Sense UI come on out lol

So the company that has spent the past two years duplicating iPhone interface design is shutting down a dev who is duplicating HTC design.

I'll be downloading Screen Crack onto Eris demo units every time I visit VzW stores.

I feel dejected. Why did HTC have to shut BW down? It's not like the dev is making millions off this app anyway. Thanks for the instructions on how to back up the app. If someone knows how to pull the app off the SD card and back it directly to a HD, then please do so. I think since BW is gone the next logical step would be to back upp the app to your HD. I'll try toying around with it, and if I can figure out how to transfer the app to my HD, then I'll post instructions on how to do so. Also, if anyone has or does figure this out before me, please post up the instructions for the benefit of the community. Thanks, and fu*k off HTC!

lol yall are ridiculous. sure it sucks to see it go, but it is HTC's design so they can make those calls. I can't wait to check out their sense widget!

How do you reinstall if need be? I have it backed up with astro I should probably drag it over to the computer to make sure I have it backed up there too?
