battery life

I am disappointed with the battery life of my Droid X. I am wondering if I have a defective battery or if others have a similiar problem. My battery never seems to make it until the end of the day. I do use it often but I never had problems like this with my Palm 700p.:icon_eek:

If the battery life is just short, what do you recommend in turns of extended battery?

I've had the same problem since the recent updating from Verizon... the new version of Droid OS is using up a lot of battery power...Is there an app that can help or correct this?

If you go to Settings>Accounts & Sync>Background Data, you will that it is turned on, which constantly updates your contacts Facebook statuses, Tweets, etc. While this is on, it is constantly running in the background, draining your battery. I always keep it turned off because I like having a longer battery life. Just a suggestion.

Any other battery tips? Has anyone purchased an extra battery? I guess we will just need to have charger in the car, office in addition to home etc. ???

hey techno i have the droid 2 and i turened off the animations (settings/display/animations) it helped with my battery life and you can search power widgets to help also. wish i had more info but im a new droid user from about a month ago. hope this can help boss
