Backing Up Nav Points

I have a friend who would like to root his phone and try some of the new ROMS. What is stopping him is he's spent alot of time creating a folder with nav point short cuts on this current desktop. I have not been able to figure out a way to back the folder up so when he wipes his phone for the new ROM he can get them back. I can't find the other folder in Astro or in a search of the phone. I'm sure this could be helpful with other information that people create and keep in folders visible on the home screens.

Thank you for your help.

He can just star all those nav points in google maps (on his Droid or on a desktop computer). It'll all sync up, even if he wipes /data and /cache. Simple. Easy. Smarter than a folder.
