Back and home button??

Everytime I press either the back or home button it either takes me to my call log, last call screen, or a page I was on earlier in the day...I've looked everywhere to find how to fix it but I can't

Power down ( lomg power button push- tap power off) then back up.

Thanks for this tip. It worked to fix my weird wallpaper behavior.
