Audio speeds up, sounds like mickey mouse

I am rooted and using liquid 1.6 rom. All of the music/audio apps alternate speeding up and then returns to normal speed. I had this problem with earlier rom ss 4.7 too. Any thoughts are welcome! Thanks.

This is a strange one.....but there's a new LFY out might want to try that....jsut make sure to wipe data and cache.

i've had that happen on various roms, but everything slowed down instead of playing faster. you can kill the media process, that usually fixes it, or just restart. mine always happened after getting a call while listening to music.

I've had that problem with Slacker a few times. I've had to pause the audio stream to allow it to cache a few more seconds before I hit play again.

I don't think that's your problem, however, if it's happening with mp3s. Try updating your ROM, with a 3x cache and 3x system wipe before doing the update. Also consider clearing out the Dalvik cache if you feel up to it if your recovery image doesn't do it for you.

This is happening to my boss's phone as well. He's completely stock 2.2. It happens on both the stock player and winamp. No idea why.

It appearst that the issue is the rom build used for froyo 2.2. I have a rooted phone and am now using Liguid Froyo Yogurt 1.71 which has a different build with no problems now. You can also try updated pandora in the market. Uninstall and then reinstall and see if a new version of pandora or music player is out there that corrects the problem.
