ATTN Liberty 1.5 users or DEV's

Save the bootanimation.zip file in /data/local and put the new one there. If it doesnt work then it will be blank but still boot. You can remove it and replace it if it doesnt work, but it should work just fine.

If the bootanimation is messed up it won't show, but it won't stop your phone from booting.

You can also put the bootanimation.zip on the root of your sdcard and install it easily thru liberty toolbox

Ok sorry in advance I'm new to most of this but I can't figure out how to install this. I went to /data and there was no folder called local so I was going to try to do it through the liberty tool box and went to /mnt/SD and can't find a root dir. All I can find is roottools is that the folder you are talking about?

The root of your sdcard is mnt/SD. Its the very first place u come to when entering your sdcard

ok I fear that between DX\D2 boot logo changer, Boot Animation Changer, and Liberty I have too many animations running. Took my phone 3 minutes to reboot. Is there anyway I can clear all of these out and start over with only one?

I can tell there are multiple animations because I get the Blue Moto (from Liberty) then the Decepticon after.

Those are two separate things. The blue m is the boot logo which is followed by your animation. You don't have to worry about multiples trying to run at the same time. When u change the new one overwrites the old one. As far as boot time goes bigger animation files cause slower boot because the animation has to load first.

Open the liberty toolbox app. Click liberty tweaks > manage boot animation > install sdcard/bootanimation.zip

It took me a minute to figure it out to. You have to rename the file bootanimation.zip before it will find it. Its working great on mine and look cool.

Thank you thank you thank you. I got it. I am going to change my signature. It is kinda scary when you think about the fact that I have been rooting family and friends phones as well as starting to flash ROM's....even did one over the phone. AND I AM A TOTAL NOOB!!!
