I'm currently using SPRecovery 2.0.3 and would like to know the differences between it and CMR. What are the benefits of using CMR? How much better is it? I'm thinking about flashing it but I really like SPRecovery. Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

My philosophy is if it ain't broke don't fix it. If you don't have a real reason to switch, then...there is no need to switch lol.
CMR is different than SPRecovery, in a few ways. First the backups between the two aren't compatible with each other. So if you make a backup with SPR, then flashed clockwork you wouldn't be able to restore your nandroid.
CMR is the only recovery that works with the "one-click" installs in ROM Manager.
CMR doesn't require you to change the name of the file to update.zip and place it on the root of your sdcard. With CMR, it can be named Blah.zip and located in a folder, and you can browse to it and install it via CMR.
I believe with CMR you can wipe some things you can't with SPR. It has been a really long time since I have used SPR so I could be wrong on this one.
There are some others too, my brain isn't firing on all cylinders right now though.
If you were wanting to try out a new recovery, I recommend giving
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/ra...-based-update-zips-battery-charging-more.html <--RZR a shot. It is based on SPR, so all of your current nandroid will work (you can also restore clockwork nandroids too). It has overclocking options to speed up the installation and backups, charging in recovery, install files from directories with any name (like I described above for CMR), you can change colors, wipe different things....and quite a few other things. It is basically the best of both worlds imo. YMMV though.
E2A SPRecovery can install rom.tgz files, as can RZR. CMR cannot. These are quite rare though, and beyond RaidZero's ROMs, I don't think any ROM recently uses this format. There were a few more back in the day. Most are update.zip files though.
