Anyways, I get what you're saying if it's stubborn people being stubborn. But I'm seeing a lot of people putting up conversations with valid, or what they think is valid, facts and opinions. No need to bash people and start ranting. You're just doing the same as them, but worse.

Most people just want a good phone.. not, "oh hey, motorola, I gotta have it!".. I could really care less about the brand if it's a good phone.

If people are posting wrong specs, it's likely cause they were misinformed. No need to bash anyone for that, that's not what these forums are for. I get what you're saying, but it'd be better to talk them through it and give them the right info then to call it, "people b*tching around giving wrong information".

As long as people are staying on topic, who cares if people are posting, "oh I don't need 4G really". You're netflix reason doesn't seem to valid to me.. I've personally never had a problem with streaming on my 3G. But, oh well, maybe you have.

I, personally, don't need 4G. Would it be nice? Of course, but not a necessity. I still might get the Bionic though.. whether I say I do or do not need 4G, I'm still used to having the most up to date phone so i'll feel weird without it more than likely. We'll see what the future brings.

Maybe is my phone or area but my 3g speeds are absolute ****. I can't wait for a great 4G phone, and I have been waiting a long time. It takes a long ass time for me to download apps or a simple webpage

I do think it depends on how good a signal you have. I have had some good luck with 3g download sppeds at times, but at other times it takes like 10 minutes to load a few forum pages and kills my battery.

I had been waiting for the Bionic, but sometimes I have thought I should just get the Droid 3(IT look really great!). But, I just found out we get LTE in my town in August, so I am pretty sure it will be the Bionic.

If I could still get a one year contract, I think I would buy a Droid 3, and then get a phone with a second gen. LTE radio next year.

I think the OMAP 4 is a good upgrade. I think it will hold up for quite a while like my Droid 1. I don't think there will be anything significantly better for a while. I wouldn't want quad core until they are 22nm and use Cortex A15 cores.

My .02 cents worth here.

1) People don't spend $700 off contract for a phone
2) Everything about Bionic including release date is speculation. There have been no official releases from Motorola or Verizon regarding this device.
3) To me, the delays in a decent device from Motorola have taken the Bionic away from a 1st day site unseen purchase to a wait for 5 or 6 weeks to see what else may come out from Samsung or HTC
4) I am still partial to Motorola and may very well purchase the Bionic

How many of you are hardware engineers? Do you have any idea how long it takes to design something, prototype it, get software engineers to do work, and finalize a product. Unless motorola operates at warp speed, I really don't think they would have been able to do the types of "upgrades" half of you are apparently expecting. You don't just throw another processor in the phone case and magically have it work.....not only that but if it has a different number of pins/balls that means you have a lot of other redesign to do. Some things are easier, like small firmware bugs and increased ram, but major hardware upgrades wouldn't be quick. Its easy to say motorola didn't do enough, but until you are designing hardware you really don't understand.

When things don't work a expected, software guys always blame the hardware, and vice-versa
And when in doubt, blame the Carrier, because they touched it last.

Maybe someday, phones will become like Desktop PCs, where you can select your own motherboard, processor, video, power supply, interfaces/peripherals, etc. and assemble it yourself.
