It isn't an app. Following the instructions in that thread for setting up your SD card, and the ROM installs your apps to your SD card!
Here are the instructions:
Remember to BACKUP your sdcard before doing the step below!!!. Things you need to know and do.
How to set up your sd card for a2sd:
Code:
1. Boot into recovery
2. Scroll down to PARTITION SDCARD
3.Click On PARTITION SD
4.Click trackball to confirm
5.Select Swap size 32mb is fine
6.Select ext size (I did 768mb you don't have to make it that big)
7.Click again to partition sd card.
8.Go to PARTITION SD menu and choose SD:ext2 to ext3 This New A2sd Makes it so when you go to the data/app folder, it actually takes you to the /system/sd/app folder. So when you use Root Explorer to look at the data/app folder you are actually looking at the /system/sd/app folder.
You know you are in the /system/sd/app folder in root Explorer because at the very top it says something like this "92.88MB used 593.51MB free" as we all know the Eris doesn't have that much space in the data/app folder. The space in the data/app folder might still be going down because the cache isn't moved to the sd card by default, if you want to change this you can change it yourself.
Maybe in the future. Not for now for my tastes anyway. If a stable 2.2 Rom becomes available then I'll do it. For me this PlainJane ROM gave me all I wanted.
My question about rooting is can you access all the apps in the market? I know when I installed the leaked 2.1 v2 I couldn't install some of my favorite apps until I went with the official version because it made my phone not registered. Is it something similar when you root? I'm all for having more speed and I'm starting to lean towards rooting my phone. Kinda funny if you consider how scared I was just to install a leaked update.

well, here's the thing... i'm a moto droid user, and i haven't had market issues. those that do are generally rom related. So definitely before thinking about rooting/custom roms, look into one you think you like. read the forums and see if folks are having market issues. But like someone mentioned above, you'd likely lose SenseUI. if you can live with that, i think :icon_ banana::icon_ banana:Unrevoked could be your friend. :icon_ banana::icon_ banana:
