Apps have a mind of their own!

How do I stop applications from opening on their own. Every time I go to advanced task killer to see what is running I have 10 applications open that I did not start :icon_evil: It drains my battery waaaay to fast. How do I stop it? Is their a setting or an app in the market to keep this from happening where applications only run if I click on them?

What do you suggest using? How do I close the open apps?

If the app has an exit button use that or just return to Home....as for the ones running in the background....Don't worry about them. The OS will close whats not being used if another app needs the memory.

The Android O/S has a built in task managment process, therefore not only is there no need for a task killer, but running one can slow down your device and cause conflict within the system

OK so the consensus is to ditch the task killer and let the OS close the apps. I will try it and report back with the results. Thanks my fellow Droiders
