Application Icons Disappearing after ICS update

In addition to some of the other problems noted here, i have one that i haven't seen on this Forum yet.

When I turn off my phone and turn it on again two of the application icons in the "Tray" at the bottom of my screen have disappeared and I have to reload them. Definitely not a critical problem but it is annoying.

Any suggestions?

I'm having the exact same problem and it is annoying. I have "Phone", "Contacts", and "Calendar" down there that disappear every time I restart. The one app that doesn't disappear is a 3rd party car dock app.

Weird. Any idea what's causing it and how to resolve?

Icons disappearing from tray

I haven't got a clue. It is very annoying because I fly a lot and I am always turning my phone off and back on.

After spending about two hours one evening, first with two people at Verizon, and then, finally, with someone from Motorola the only suggestion I got was to completely reset my phone back to the factory settings and then reload everything - apps, data, etc. I have no idea whether that will work or not so I don't want to go through all that hassle. If Motorola doesn't come up with a fix over the next couple of months I am thinking about switching to an iPhone.

Things would have to get pretty bad before remotely considering jumping over to a micromanaged limiting iphone! Lol

Fyi, did a hard reset and it fixed the problem. Also cleaned up the phone and it is moving a lot nicer than it had been. Good news all around!

I'm assuming this isn't due to having 2 different launchers, one the standard and another one. Just a thought.

No additional launchers. Fully stock. Unrooted.
