If you use adb shell from a windows computer, your $PS1 will be set with colors, which dont show up in the Windows terminal emulator. It's not a big deal.

i got all the way to save or wipe data no problem. now it's asking "choose your bashrc (for adbshell). choices are Linux/Mac OS X color bashrc or Windows Non-Colored bashrc?

there's a wholes list of items with "finished" on the top...?

for those at the step of choosing package to install look at the menu and pay attention. Because it gives you option to install car home or not, facebook was onthere, and amazon. I wish i had the full list, but if you dont check (ie car home) then car home will not be installed

thanks Camel. I'm new to all this rooting stuff and i don't see myself doing anything that can't be done with an app! BTW, i installed and rooted with phone charging on computer. It took about 15 minutes. Didn't have to wait with a black screen or really wait at all except for the actual installing of the programs...

Hold the volume up button, and press the camera button. You must have both pressed down at the same time, not one and then the other.

If you installed the MT browser, you should already have that in the browser. We're adding the MT gallery to 2.0.

There is no home app, I meant that I accidentally chose 2.0 as my OS vs the 2.1. So there is no application to clear default. I reflashed the tar but still same effect. By reinstalling do i simply remove the sholesmod updater in settings? and then reinstall?
sorry again for noob questions I'm pretty green on this stuff.

anyone know if i use this to root my droid can i then install a different rom such as bugless beast or would i only be able to run the sholes rom that comes preloaded?

I also am curious about this. Not saying I would even do this, but I like options

I'm not 100% sure on these number, but I believe that the stock kernel has 250/550MHz, and the 1.2 Sholes.info kernel has 125/250/550/600.

The 2.0 Sholes.info kernel will have 125/250/550/800/1000, but requires the SetCPU app from market to get past 550.
