Wow.. just did it, NO PROBLEMS. My phone was previously Rooted and had SPRecovery from when I tried out the 2.1 Rom back in early January. I went back to 2.0.1, but this Sholes version kills the stock Rom outta the water.

This 1.2 ROM does only go to 600mhz, they have said on their blog that it will be updated to allow the 2.0 rom soon, which does 800/1000mhz. If 600 is this much snappier over the stock 550, I cannot WAIT until the 1ghz comes!

Did notice a few issues with the browser, notably the onscreen keyboard going away when trying to post on facebook. Pinch zoom works pretty well though, IMO.

Definitely worth the $5, $6 if you factor in SetCPU. Way less hassle than loading up adb.

Hope this helps.

Best one on the market I could find for free is called ShootMe. You shake your device and it will take a screen grab and throw it in the gallery.

I like this app idea because I don't want to commit the time to rooting and maintaining.
My only question.... I install this... gain root access and all the goodies.... if I want to put my device back to non-rooted.... do I just uninstall this app and it takes care of it or do I have to manually do it? Thanks

Also... can this be used to JUST overclock? That's all I really want. I don't care for any of the other things ported from the Nexus or anywhere else.

You would uninstall the app, then do this:

AllDroid - View topic - How to *completely* get back to stock (no su, no busybox)
Thank you. One question down :)

Okay...can someone answer my question?

I have a rooted droid with 2.1 but its saying I need to be rootedand I dont know what steps to take. Can someone, preferably a patient person help me out please? If you have gtalk I can do step by step that way

Thanks

I asked the dev about uninstalling it, he is looking to include, later on in the update ima assume, the option to unroot and reset to factory, but for now i guess you need to go to all droid

yeah, its still working from time to time i just turned it off (not full power off), turned it on and unlocked to ensure it didnt freeze
