How do u change app drawer icon on the homes that dont have the option

That's a little more involved....

1. Use root explorer and copy the apk to the root of your SD card.
2. Drag it onto your desktop.
3. Open the file with 7-zip or winrar
4. Find the correct png and replace it with the one you want.
5. Put it back on your SD card .
6. Move it back to the proper place (Make sure it's set to R/W).
7. Long Press and set the permissions

x 0 0
x 0 0

Reboot.

That's the way I used to do it. I hope I remembered everything :/

It's just so much easier with LauncherPro.

That does sound like alot of work

I know this is off topic but the theme im using for the market icon the dude put htc on it as well as when the market app is open. If i delete the whole app is there a way to put it back on and also will it make it normal? Sorry so many questions

what i mean is like your 4th of july theme picture the market place icon has the little droid head. mine doesn't have it and instead says HTC. also when i load the app and i'm in the market place it says HTC. I wanted to retheme it.

Update: I was very board and couldn't sleep so I dug up the png's and pulled the market app from my BBv0.4. Hope this is what you wanted. zip is at the bottom of this post. PM me if any trouble making it work.


If you still have both version of the market you are referring too post them i'll edit them for you.

Its really not that hard.

You will have to put it in system/app after.

Some say you need to sync after, I've never done that with all I edited, but I never really messed with market myself.

Just what your asking is to change out 2 png's is all to make it easier on yourself if you want to try it yourself first open the old one with the files you do want to see find the 2 png's then extract them to your pc. Once thats done then open the second one, the one you want to use and drag those 2 files [png's] to the open 7zip of the newer one with the htc symbols.



I was bored and cant sleep so here you go
rename, remove the .zip and push to phone with root explorer.
I usually put edited files in system/app and set permissions. Never messed with market myself so msg back if any issues i'll try to help

I have been looking all over for an app drawer icon that I seen on someone else's screenie and I can't find it anywhere. It is black and basically looks like a ^ I don't need a dock. Just this icon. Can anyone help? I'm not really good with Photoshop.
