Don't know how many people use this but it has been a God send on ICS. My battery life which was already excellent its running for life now under the developers menu...i really don't have use for many apps running once I exit them so this little feature has come in extremely handy...I've attached a pic of the option...

I would advise against it, but as always your phone/your choice.

What about limiting the background processes to, say 4(under the developers options)? would that enhance battery life??

In my case limiting the background processes only caused force close issues.. that was with me though.. ymmv

If you really are concerned with battery life, forget this option. Set up a smart action to turn off background sync and data when screen is off.
