APK wont update

ok so i downloaded a app through my computer and placed it on my phone useing the USB but now the app wont show up in my apps in the market how would i go about doing that (im rooted)

Uninstall the app on your phone and install it via the market.

This may be a dumb question, but. Did you install the app after you placed it on your phone?

yes of course haha i placed it under download and then installed it its root expoloer if that help i see titanuim back up has a force app to market option would that do it

I've never used that option, but it may help. If it dont work, I would try downloading it from the market on your phone like abn75 said.
