Anything good about ICS?

I just got my Maxx, and all I seem to be hearing is bad stuff about ICS. Should I update or not?

The last thing I need is for my phone to take a crap. I'm a truck driver and my phone is my lifeline. I need my Netflix while I'm on the road. Not to mention if I have a breakdown/blowout and need to call road service.

You'll be ok...its not affecting my netflix or my ability to make calls. All the issues are far and few between. Not all phones have issues.

ICS is more eye candy to look at, but its no different if you have 3rd party home launcher. I am staying with GB, and my bro wished he could too . I hope Verizon don't force me to update anytime soon! Let's hope for Jelly bean then :rofl2:

I think if you just got your Maxx, it is a perfect time to update to ICS because you will be updating on a clean slate which tends to make everything much more smooth with ICS. I did an fdr about a week before the update and I have no problems.

Slide the on-screen key to the 9 o'clock position.

Also, about Jelly Bean, I hear it's suppose to have a built-in Siri-like app. Will MAXX users be eligible for the update, remains to be seen. I'll probably happen one way or the other...if you know what I mean.

Gotcha...I don't have mine set to slide though. I always use a pattern lock...too many chicks try seeing my stuff. Lol

I switched it and it's there, just can't use it with the lock too. Damn

I find it funny that a million ppl complain about having to wait for ics then just complain about it when they get it.

I personally like it better. Had to install flash to watch some videos and though there are little things that i have to "relearn" my 4g stopped dropping, i can now post on craigslist without issue, and even though my bars say i have less signal, i haven't noticed a difference in calls.

Even though it says you have less bars its still the same as before, it just registers different on ICS. I agree with the complaining though. Haha.

Heh, yeah. I actually made a thread about this as well. It sucks that you can't have those 4 icons on the lock screen with security. It actually worked this way during the ICS (.79) leak. Not sure why they chose to get rid of it. Oh well though, lol. It's either the 4 icons on the lockscreen without authentication, or just authentication.
