Any way to get Google Navigation to set a waypoint?

I tried to route from my house to a endpoint. Works fine, but I have a stop on the way. Is there any way to set a waypoint? I couldn't figure out how to do it in navigation mode...

You can do that on the web version of google maps....

But how do I get it to the "turn by turn navigation" on the phone? I can do the whole "My places" thing and layers, but when I click "Navigate" and Google Navigation loads up it goes with whatever route it wants...it doesn't care at that point about my maps or waypoints.

STILL no way to do this

AFAIK you still cannot save a route and use it for navigation. About three months ago (early May?) I saw in the Android Forum that this was something to expect 'in the coming months' but so far, I haven't seen it and it hasn't been mentioned as something to enjoy in froyo. If anyone knows more about this, please post.
