My only concern is the blur overlay. The question is will Moto invest the time to have blur work on ICS? With Google buying Moto there's a good chance that we could lose blur and get a stock ICS (which would be very cool IMO). But if Moto insists we have to have blur that could drastically delay how long it takes for us to get ICS (assuming its on the upgrade plan/path).

Again, with Google trying to buy Moto that ups our chances considerably of the X2/D3 being on that plan/path.

No you won't. Motorola said 6 weeks min after it first becomes available on a phone (Nexus) for the razr. With that release up in the sure there's no way the x2 will get ICS in Dec.

This actually isn't what they said either. They said that Bionic, Razr and XOOM are guaranteed to get ICS and they'll know around 6 weeks after ICS hits AOSP when/if other phones will even get the update.

So basically phones won't get them 6 weeks later, Motorola will just know what phones can/will be upgraded to ICS (Besides the Bionic and RAZR) so the timeline until we actually GET ICS is a lot longer than 6 weeks.
