Another boot loop thread- nokia phone

Hi all. My phone was damaged yesterday and I was offered a friend's old phone to borrow if I can fix it. It's a nokia but I don't know what kind (2 or 4 maybe?) Apparently a while back they did an phone update and it caused the phone to go into a boot loop whenever you turn it on.

I've tried reformatting it, and doing a reset with the power/volume buttons and also fully charged and discharged the phone but it still loops.

Any other suggestions please?
