Animated gif

I have a lot of animations that are in .gif format, I just realized they wont play on my droid. Is there a way I can make them play? Or a file format in which I should save them, for them to work on the droid?

I just noticed this today on my vortex. Do they play when you get them in a text?

no they don't, well the ones I have emailed myself don't. I send email to my phone and it shows the attachment as a play arrow i click it and it doesn't play. it shows a play pause bar and it moves as if something is playing but Im not seeing it...

Try image viewer in the market. It plays gifs.

No, they are not, and those I mail me. I send a mail to my phone and it shows the attachment as an arrow I clicked play and it does not play.
