By now, I'm sure everyone has heard about the vulnerability of Android devices' (2.3.3 and older) contacts and calendars when connected to unencrypted Wifi networks. I'm sure everyone has also heard of the patch Google is rolling out to fix it and the phone owners need not do anything because the patch will be automatically integrated. My question is, how will I know when my phone has received the fix? I like Verizon's 3G, but let's face it, there are many times (most, actually) when I'd much rather be on Wifi, and for that reason, I'd like to know when I get the patch the moment it happens, if possible. Any answers?
