But your watch has its own Sim card / network connectivity right? So you don't have to be connected to WiFi to stay synced....correct? That's the limitation of a WiFi connection in my mind. If I am out fishing and have no WiFi and left my phone at home....then my watch is still just a watch.
Correct.
If I don't pay my bill a few months mine becomes just a watch when I'm fishing also.
I'm waiting to see reviews on how Wi-Fi affects battery life on the AW watches. On the S you can watch the battery drop if you even turn Wi-Fi on and it drops even faster after that. As far as how much data I use I use it to my hearts content and everything it'll do is so compacted, data wise, I average about 2 MB a month. (Not a mistype).
Anyway, battery life with Wi-Fi using AW watches is something I'll keep looking at. I hope y'alls is better than mine.
The second one today killed my watch. Constant process com.g.app has stopped. Can't FDR, can't power off, battery died. Put on charger and just a white screen. Bummer!

I am starting to think its my phone, maybe my phone model. Last two AW updates have completely messed up my watch. I finally used a paperclip on the reset button on the back of the watch and rebooted it for the 10th time. Selected factory reset for the 10th time and had to keep clicking white screen errors and the watch finally did a FDR. Time to go set it up again. Oh the joys of being the early users.
Oh I will... Eventually. For now I will make this work and keep sending bug reports if need be. So far FDR is complete and just finished the repairing.
And...for the first time ever...tilt to wake works on my watch. Have had that checked since January when I bought this thing and it finally works. 3 FDRs later. [emoji1]
I might have to give Tilt to Wake a better chance. It was annoying when I first got the watch and was watching TV in the dark. Kept coming on every time I moved my arm, so I turned it off and never looked back.
