Android wear update

Has anyone noticed that their watch is running AW 2.5? I just noticed that this morning, and was baffled as to when that happened. I did a little research and found that Google had published a while back that one of the AW 2.0 features was the ability for them to change the AW version on our watches with Android Wear app updates, vs an entire OS download & install. Apparently the Android Wear app update from 2 - 3 weeks ago updated our watches to AW 2.5. Interesting idea. Thoughts?

I'll be darned. I guess I didn't realize that either. IDK what they're trying to do with Wear anymore. Not sure Google does either.

I've learned my lesson and don't update the Android Wear app directly from the apk mirror website but I've noticed that there's been 3 updates in the last days, which brought it to the 2.6 version like on the watch, anyone got it those updates yet?

Cheers

Just received the notification for an Android Wear app update. Version 2.6.0.17.....

Let's see if Google fixed any bugs with this app update.

Wow, almost a month and no Android Wear chatter around here. How's everyone liking AW 2.5 / 2.6 / 2.7?

One thing I have noticed is that somewhere within the 2.5, 2.6 or 2.7 updates the bug that forced me re-pair my Moto 360 & phone (and re-add as a Trusted Device) was resolved. I can now go outside without my phone and when my watch & phone are back within Bluetooth range they automatically re-pair the Bluetooth connection and no more annoying Notifications on both devices. Thanks Google!
