Android wear update

WTH? I wonder if that's why my battery died so quick yesterday!? I've got 6.0.1 on my watch now. Just looked down and there was a card about learning new gestures. Went through the tutorial and confirmed that those gestures were a bit different than the previous ones, so I checked my version number.

Weird. Never noticed a notification that the update was available. Either that, or the battery issue yesterday was a complete fluke and the update installed over night while the watch was on the charger...?

Either way, I see that DND mode has changed (No more all/priority/none or whatever it was before. Now it's just off or alarms only), there's a settings section for permissions, Reset has changed to "Unpair with phone"...

I still have 3 notification options.
Battery life is a little better. Not sure if that's because I'm using Pujie Watch face now or this update.

I just saw an AW article and it stated that the Restart option is gone in AW 6.0? Now we only have a Power Off option. So much for restarting my G watch when the charger is not available to turn it back on.

Yeah. That option is now "unpair with phone" or something.

Glad my Urbane has the side button for turning on.

You guys and your fancy watches.... I like to restart mine once a week or so, just for GP. I'll have to remember to do that at home so I can throw it on the charger to turn it back on. Not the end of the world. Just seems a bit silly to remove a Restart option from the Settings. I guess the smart folks at Google had a good reason.

I've read a thread on xda that states that the update was indeed pulled by Motorola on Friday the 12th because it was bricking many Moto 360 1st gen. Anyone got the update after that?

That's why I like the button. I turn mine off right after work most days & use the button to turn it on in the morning if it doesn't need a quick charge.

Glad to hear that. It always rolls out in waves, so it will get to the rest of us eventually. I kind of figured the G Watch would be one of the last to get it, since it is an old watch at this point. I check for the new update once a day, in the AM before work. I can wait patiently.
