Why does the Android System on the Incredible eat up soooo much battery? Mine is using up around 97% of my battery life. Is there anyway to limit this? I had a Moto Droid before and it is usually the Display that eats up the most battery.

Before I bought my Droid2, I looked at the Droid Incredible.
A big reason why I didn't get the Incredible was because I read it has one of the worst battery life ratings of any recent smart phone.
Other than that is seems like an outstanding phone. (the other reason was the physical keyboard on the Droid2 that I wanted)
The Droid2 and X got some of the best battery ratings.
If I were you, I'd turn down the screen brightness, get rid of any anti-virus & task killer, stop apps (facebook, twitter, etc.) from for notifications too frequently. And if you have a lot of dynamic widgets that pull and display information, get rid of them and see how much that helps...and go from there.
