So i have bugless beast v1.0 and when I get a force close I have the option to close or report. I saw this at google IO as a new market feature and didnt notice it till friday on my phone. Is anyone else seeing this?

I'm GUESSING that the report link May be new Due to the recent Market update as I've seen it a couple times in last few days as I've been switching and tuning new phones so a number of FCs (3rd this week after 1st lasted 7 months and 3rd is definite winner of all :>)

Just downloaded two app updates... DolphinHD and Cal Widget and they both indicated the update was for 2.2 or FroYo compatability...

I don't care about Flash just as long as the phone is faster and I have BTVD...

Yep Im downloading a bunch of updates now and so far all of them say they are for 2.2

2.1 wasnt' a debacle. verizon's meddling was the debacle. 2.1 fixed alot of issues with 2.0.1 but changed some things that made people feel the update might have been worse.

regardless, 2.1 was a much needed update from 2.0.1, which came out on-time.

Any bets on what VZW forces Moto to do about tethering? Then again, perhaps AT&T will continue to allow it, forcing VZW and others to to match...

My brother in law got 2.2 on his nexus. Got root, too, thanks to cyanogen. He has constantly reminded me how awesome it is. Very fast. I don't want to make my sister a widow, but damn he needs to stop bragging, lol. But it will come to the Droid, ota update or custom roms.
My one thought, though, is on how Verizon will handle the issue of tethering. They charge $30 for laptop cards with a 5GB limit. If applied to their mobile phone customers, that may be a problem. What they should do is offer free tethering up to 5GB per month. If people go over that, they can charge for the full bandwidth usage. A strategy like that would put them well over anything AT&T offers on the iphone (who most likely will charge an arm and a leg for thethering).
Will that happen? In most probabilities, no. One has to wonder, though...

Froyo has been rekleased to the N1. On shcedule for the most part. It will be released for the Droid in the very near future. when I have date I will post what i'm expectiong/told......

But she said the update killed Swype. At least for now.

I can't wait for the speed boost. Not sure what situation I would need tethering, so if Verizon doesn't allow it, probably won't too big of a deal.

Can I assume rooting would allow tethering anyway?

The update did nit kill swype. You build the app for the OS, not the other way around.
