I disagree that it has to be baked in the cake this time. These are Google side enhancements that are meant to run on any Android phone that can handle the speed. I think Google can just put them out there and they will run on any basic Android device. What would Verizon change?

Key phrase there is 'for free' if they can track usage of an app built into the base rom, then they may offer the additional 'tethering' plan to make more $$$$

Google can bake tethering into the cake but Verizon controls if you're charged for it or if it's activated. I'm sure that options is in there for all providers.

Does anyone know the release date for froyo!! I can't seem to find it please tell me!!
Soon. No exact date yet. Soon could change into not soon but I have high hopes we will see it in june.
