Amazon appstore

Can anyone assist me in figuring out why the Amazon appstore is using 25% of my battery when I have yet to open it today? This has gone on for a while and I don't want to delete it, but eating up so much battery is ridiculous. I've tried clearing the cache and ending the process, but it still ends up being the biggest battery eater. Thank you for any assistance.

I can't say I have used it but I would guess it is always running in the background checking for updates to the apps you have installed. Look in the settings for it and see if there is a way to lessen how often it checks.

Maybe turn notifications off..
I believe it's in settings for the app.
The app also checks for updated apps.

maxx'ed out....

edit:
i saw no control for it in settings..

may try adding it to the list of auto kill apps in our built in task manager..

mine amazon doesn't show up at all as a battery %. I opened to check for free app this morning and then closed it.

I wonder if you have a app stuck downloading or waiting for wifi.
