Alarm not working right

So I have this crappy problem. My alarmed worked just fine before and I decided to change the ring tone to something more annoying a couple days ago. Now, it either doesn't ring at all or it rings, I press snooze, and it doesn't ring again. When it's time for the alarm to go off, it shows the red screen alarm but it doesn't make a sound. Like it's frozen or something. But I can slide the bar over just fine. Anyone know what the problem is?

While in the alarm press the menu button and settings. Make sure that the silent mode isn't checked.

If u set ur phone to silent mode by the side buttons the alarm will be silent if u keep the volume on and put ur phone on silent mode through the touch screen the alarm will work
