Advice While out the country.

I will be in canada next week and I want to be able to save myself fron an insane phone bill.
I will turn the sync off, stop widgets (if I need to) use wifi as much as I can but what else should worry about beside phone calls? How can I turn off data?

turn off data roaming for certain if you are leaving the country. If you are in the country, you should keep it on, as verizon offers free data roaming in the USA :)

going to Cancun on the 6th so I call VZW. There is an unlimited int'l data plan for $30 something a month. You can have it pro-rated so they are turning it on at 12:01am on the 6th and then when I get back I can call to stop it. It will be less than $10... This is for data only however..texts are like .50 to send and .05 to receive and calls are extra, but I can send emails and receive all the data the Droid can handle...
