Pokemon Go was all the rage last year. It got us off the couch and into the world. Many avid Pokemon players were walking miles a day in search of rare monsters. Niantic had an instant hit on their hands and brought in more than $1Billion. Then the winter came and it became to cold to go outside and catch Pokemon. People were getting tired of catching the same Pokemon in their general area, and the game just became a bit stale.
As you can imagine Niantic would love to see that Billion dollar mark in 2017 as well. They are pushing a new Adventure Week which they hope will get you back in the game. The event will see an increased rate of appearance of rock type Pokemon like Omanyte, Kaubto and their evolutions. You may even walk up on an Aerodctyl. You will also find candy four times as fast and you will find items at pokestops more often, and balls will be 50% off in the game shop. The event will take place between May 18th and May 25.
