Advanced task killer

Okay. So I've heard so many people say that the Advanced Task Killer is a waist of space, an batter on your droid x because it has something internally like that. Well, I put it to a test and went without ATK for 2 days to see how many apps it wuld then kill when I reinstalled it. I found that all my apps where still running. Is it still a waist? Help.

Yes, a big big waste. And completely counter intuitive to the design of Android.
