While not a perfect fix, this is what I did. I added myself as a contact w/ address, so I just pull up my contact and choose "navigate to" when I want to nav home.
The maps application built into the Droid (and thus navigation) syncs with any map you save under "my maps" in Google maps. I have maps I've created there for several things. Just save them online, then import them via the "layers" option in maps.
Yes, the Contact list also doubles as your GPS database of waypoints, if you have addresses to put in the contact. Otherwise, for random locations with just a lat/long, the My Maps app is ideal.
