Accessing my laptop hard drives, wifi??? Please send help

Hi all and happy fathers day to all you dads out there!

I am looking for a great app that will allow me to access the hard drives on my laptop and desktop without a bunch of problems.

I have tried several that scan my home network and give me a list of available and I am always unable to get access to anything.

I use file expert for my file explorer and love it but can't figure out how to do it with that either.

Well I made progress with ES File Explorer and can finally access and see the shared crap on my laptop but can't access the stupid Folders. I guess I will cone to research.

I use SplashTop to remotely access my pc from my phone.
Is that what you are trying to do?
