A Thread Of Topics You Would Never Like To See Again

Hello! I just loaded (insert ROM here) and it's awesome! I have one or two little issues, though...can somebody drop what they're doing and ask me if I wiped before flashing?

And

Do I flash the theme first, or the ROM?

How about ALL the BS iphone threads... really this is an ANDROID FORUM, take the iPhoney crap somewhere else.

ADMINS/MODS!!
Can I suggest a sticky announcement that directs everyone thinking about posting iPhone BS to one thread (or at least a new 'off-topic' section) in anticipation for all the BS threads that will come tomorrow (regardless of what is or isn't announced).....
 
Don't know why you'd want an iPhone anyways compared to the droid phones, even if iPhone came to verizon. I mean, ok here's a worse phone over all and oh, you can't customize either.
But just my thoughts haha
 
When I started this thread I didn't do it with the intention of making anyone feel bad or anything of that nature. I rarely tell people to search unless they ask the same question that's in the same area on the same page.

It really didn't change the way people posted and I didn't expect it would. It was just an outlet for those of us who are here all the time and see the same threads, being created new daily.

Poor Battery Life, Task Killers, What apps should I get……They still continue although I've kind of rounded up the task killers into one area. It doesn't really bother me to see them.

I could have done this in a private area but I know there are a lot of members who get tired of seeing the same stuff over and over again. So I thought we'd start a list. And that's really all it is. Hey I'm still tired of battery threads but I still go in there and give my opinions that I have given 100 times over.

So if you're new and you see this remember that some of us are in this forum many hours a day and see the same topics continue to come up. Feel free to ask your questions, yes, you should use the search first but we will continue to answer the questions we've heard before. That is what we are here for, to help each other.

Very good points Hook and I will add that most of the people posting in this thread will also be the first to help you out with any question you have! Just my two cents.

I agree...talkikng about the iphone being on verizon or whatever just doesn't seem to fit with DROIDFORUMS.NET. Its not an android phone why is there even a discussion about it?

dancedroiddancedroidExactlydancedroiddancedroid Take it elsewhere... IMO the mods have been way to lenient on this. They're going in the right direction by trying to wrangle them into one thread but still... there's an iPhoney thread on an ANDROID forum, lol. Would save them a LOT of time and trouble if they would just ban such threads/discussions unless there is a specific purpose (e.g. iPhoney convert needing help ect.:icon_ banana:)

Id love to see a thread telling people that they don't have to read a topic if they don't want to.

That's better than bit..ing about it.
 
Ok, here is my irritation.
"Moderators feel free to move this if it would be better some where else."
"Mods feel free to move this if its in the wrong place"
"Moderators if this isnt allowed, then its ok to delete this"
Lol, im no mod, but im getting tired of reading people give the mods permission to do their job. Its like "Hey officer, feel free to arrest me if im disobeying the law" Like permission is needed... I read three of these just this morning.
 
As much as I HATE the iphone threads on here....NOT because its about the iphone, but because everyone gets sooooo defensive and pissed off over...what, a cell phone?

However iphone forum or not...people are going to talk about it...and it still fits into an off-topic forum if nothing else....so "banning" the subject is kinda dumb.

Banning the subject altogether would be the fastest way to keep the threads from turning into the cesspits they usually wind up being. :) However, I agree they shouldn't be banned.
