A raindrop hit the earpiece on my phone and now I can't hear anything

So I was looking at my phone and noticed a big drop of water hit the earpiece, now when i make or receive calls I can't hear anything, but if I turn the speaker on, i can see that calls are really connected and can hear everything... I've tried soft reseting and hard reseting... no luck.... Any ideas what I can do? Would Verizon replace this? I live in portland where it rains alot and would hate for them to tell me its cause of water damage and I can't get a new one...
