A lil grrr wtf and seriously ...

So Verizon obviously doesn't have its stuff together ...

I like the Razr, I debated swapping for the Nexus but after handling it I'm not that impressed. My issue is the release of the Razr being staggered staggered. Black then white then the Maxx. What is the Maxx and where can I get more info? If there's and updated hardware version why not release it at the same time? I'm not wanting to get saddled into a 2 year only to see an improved version of the phone I want released 2 months later. Keep your Nexus, let me be an informed consumer and give me my options prior to me making the purchase.

If you're more informed than I am link me some info, I'll go back to my 3g Droid X and wait. Thanks.

You realize new Android phones get released almost monthly nowadays....so no matter what you buy, it WILL be outdated. Buy the phone for its purpose, not because you want to be able to take it to school and yell "first".

The Razr is an excellent phone and other than Smart Actions sometimes turing off data, i love it. I still use my OG Droid as my daily alarm clock. With Plane mode on and wifi my battery lasts 4 days....the perfect alarm. (psst- its only 733mhz, and i guess thats SOOOO not cool anymore);)

Quite complaining and just keep a phone long enough (at least a month) to know if you like it or not. You can't get a good read on a new phone in a matter of days....

Silly "NOW" generation.

By no means am I a "now" generation, I mean what kid wants to be an informed consumer? I just want the best Razr I can get. I have to commit to two years there's nothing wrong with asking a company to be responsible. It will never happen but hey I'm allowed to vent. :)

+1. Gotta give it time and yes phones are like computers it gets outdated on a monthly basis. Look at the Bionic, after 6 months of its release being pushed back it finally gets released and lo and behold, the Razr gets released approximately 1 1/2 months later and then the GNex gets released 1 month after the Razr. I'm happy with my Razr and plan on using it not only for its purpose but also what I can do to push its limits. If you're not going to be happy with your phone now, who's to say you won't be happy with the next phone you upgrade to in 2 years cause guess what, whatever phone you do upgrade to will have another phone released that will make that phone outdated. Its a vicious cycle of pleasing the masses unfortunately.

I'm actually quite surprised to hear so much support fora company that has seriously screwed the pooch a number of times with a number of devices.

That being said if the Maxx is going to be the Razr with additional amenities and released a month later I'd like to know. That's all...

Huh??? Screwed the pooch on so many devices? OG Droid changed the game. Still going strong for many people. Next up was DX.....amazing phone. D3, Bionic, and RAZR are all solid phones. Motorola has the top phones.....hands down.

OG Droid was a VZW game changer not overall. Android was loose in the market well before. Charge, Bionic, and now the Nexus all plagued with issues and delays.

what delays was the nexus plagued with? when did vzw change a release date?

I just find it a bit funny that people on this board say things like that based on rumored dates. as far as i now vzw only missed their date on the bionic.

Yes, and since this is a Verizon forum, nothing else matters. I took the above comment about the company to be directed at Moto. So why now mention charge and nexus?

The OG brought Android into the mainstream. Before that it was an obscure OS that very few knew about.

Verizon and Motorola brought it out of the shadows, so I'd say that that the OG was a game changer for Android.

Once Verizon release team OG Android took off.

Sounds like there's no pleasing you. You should get the LG vortex. I think that will make you happy
