A Gmail Question

OK, I need some help and understanding. I use the Yahoo e-mail app that was pre-loaded in the phone under accounts. It works great but I have a question about my contact list. I noticed when I went to compose an e-mail, I had none of my Yahoo contacts to choose from. I exported them from Yahoo and imported them to my gmail account. Now they show when I compose an e-mail. My question is, all of my e-mail contacts also show up in my phone contact list as well. Is there a way to separate these? I’m assuming this is because of the way gmail syncs everything on my phone, correct? This would also happen with facebook and twitter too, correct?

You are correct on your Facebook sync and yo answer your question yes you can make it so only some contacts show up

Go to contacts>hit your menu key then display. From here you can manage your synced accounts
